In the middle of the park in Munich is the Eisbach, a small but powerful river that attracts a group of dedicated, crazy surfers. All year these guys are out there riding the continuous wave taking turns after each wipeout.
We hung out for a while on the riverbank watching the group of surfers take turns on the rough water. It looked pretty challenging but a few of the more talented surfers could stay on the wave indefinitely. The best part were the wipeouts.
Who knew you could watch surfing up so close right in the middle of Germany?
