After snorkeling at the Japanese wreck on the north side of Bali near Amed, we met some fishermen who took us out for a ride on their jukung and attempted some unsuccessful fishing. Although we didn’t catch anything, it was still nice to be on the water and see the sunset. The water was so clear, we could look over the side of the boat and see the fish. It seemed that none of the fish wanted our bait. The most interesting part was the weights we used on the fishing lines. Our fishermen friends had tied old spark plugs to the end of the lines. A very good use of something that was destined for the trash.
